The Fourth Annual John Klump Memorial Motorcycle Ride will take place Saturday, Aug. 25.

John Klump was a former Harrison police officer who was tragically killed in an automobile accident on Jan. 9, 2009, on Interstate 74 at the Dry Fork Road exit.

This year’s ride will begin at the Harrison VFW hall on Lawrenceburg Road.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the ride will leave at noon. The cost is $10 per person.

The ride will follow scenic country roads in Indiana including three stops with the final destination at Klump’s Tavern in New Alsace, Ind.  Music, food and door prizes will occur before and after the ride.

You are encouraged to attend the celebration of  his life at Klump’s Tavern.

All proceeds from this event are for the John Klump Memorial Scholarship Fund at WesBanco.

Donations may be made directly to the bank.

Yearly scholarships are awarded to the Butler Tech Police Academy in Klump’s memory.
